Hi Rob, nice overview. Your ready, fire, fire, fire is familiar. How would you compare the approach that you discuss to the agile model used by many software startups (and other larger organizations)? There seems to be a balance there, but most companies I’ve seen either use Agile to avoid any market validation, or use spreadsheet after spreadsheet before any action.

Alex, to do this right do Market Validation first, then, as discussed in Part 3 of the book, “Fire”. use Agile development approaches to get a highly targeted build out quickly and iterate it fast. Cheers, Rob.
